ARCHER architecture

ARCHER is a Cray XC30 with 3,000 nodes (but no accelerators). Each node comprises 2 Ivy Bridge processors. Each processor is a 2.7 GHz, Intel E5-2697 processor with 12 cores. Each cores supports 2 hardware threads (Hyperthreads).

Standard nodes share 64 GByte RAM between the 24 cores (and there's a few nodes with 128 GB). Memory is NUMA with each processor forming a single NUMA region (of 32 GB for standard nodes). The nodes are connected in a Dragonfly topology using the Cray Aries Interconnect.
